I have bull nose longwing by the Brown Shoes made in Canadian with more than an inch of heel height. Are all bull nose and high heel made in 70s?

The look like they were made in the 1980s to me. In the 80s, Florsheim used a black liner in many of their pairs. If it was from the 1960s, it would be a pale yellow.

Yeah, that sole color and interior lining are more in line with their 80s offerings. The classic shoes for men site is horrible for dating.

I had some shell AE chukkas that cracked and so I sent the uppers off to shell heaven, AKA @smfdoc ’s house. He repurposed the shell, turning it into a wallet for his son and a watch strap for me. Both are awesome. I’m put the strap on a Missoni Sport watch that my dad’s best friend left to my dad when the friend passed. The watch has always had special meaning to me. Now the watch has even more meaning because it dons a handmade strap from a very kind gentleman who also started this thread. Take a look. Note that he used the shoe liner as the liner for the band. Thank you, @smfdoc, for turning my shoe heartache into watch happiness.

These are from 1969 and in great condition! The leather has not been cleaned or wax added. These woud shine up nice! Shoe laces are missing. These numbers read on the inside.

Not that this group needs to be lectured on this topic, but with the throw away culture, buying vintage and used shoes, and now repurposing old shell cordovan, I think we can pat ourselves on our collective backs.

I also sent a pair of 93605s to @smfdoc after the cracks kept growing. I understand he has converted them to watch straps and a small wallet.

It's a nice way to reuse beautiful shoes.

Some of the write-ups are pure bunk as well, at least for the shoes that I know anything about. But credit where credit is due, great photography and an amazing collection. It is fun to look at and he does seem to move a few pairs. More power to him.

I'm so glad to see the leather getting a little more use. This one was quite rustic, but a dressier band is on its way. The rear of the boot was paired with some calf to make a wallet. It is spoilered as I honestly can't recall if these were already posted.

Vintage violation. I've been wearing boots lately. Courts are still in limbo but I return to the office on Monday.

In the mean time, my son asked me to take pictures of a rainbow. After I dropped him off, I walked to a local man made lake to enjoy some time alone.

These are Wolverine 1000 Miles that a cobbler added lug sole protectors to make them unusable in any weather.
