Dack's "prarie oxhide" in 9 1/2 D. They leather creases across the grain and looks to me like it's embossed, but defer to better judgement. The soles are getting soft but the uppers are in great shape. Let me know if you're interested!

Those are awesome. I a big fan of Dack’s. It looks like those are 9 1/2 D though.

After selling all the St. Vincent dePaul sourced size 14 Florsheim 96624s and 92604s I never wore much, this week I ethrifted these Keith Highlanders in very righteous size 13 D for personal. These are substantial shoes, with big welts that will do the man spreading for me if I ever ride the New York subway again. I'll have to weigh them but with double oak soles they're among the heaviest longwings I own.

I'm thinking about applying navy blue polish, some of our experts say that makes black shoes really pop.

Barely used, I bet they haven't been worn more than a few times.

I think I sold a similar NOS pair to Joe. Not sure if he remembers.

I thought the leather and construction quality was on par with the Florsheim Imperials.

Good catch, thanks! I have a solid case of brain fog after taking some recently mandated (and more tedious) CITI training modules, most of which do not apply to anything I do. ?
I’ve take plenty of those courses myself.

I keep coming across across Cobblers Plus in Denver for some reason. Any experience with them? Or who do you recommend for mail-ins? Thanks

Interesting to see a post 1987 Dack with a replaced nailed heal.

I was going to ask you about that. Maybe custom ordered?

I can't imagine many cobblers doing that. If it was a cobbler, had to cost a loonie or two.

You can certainly tell which pair this fellow preferred the least!

There is a decent pair of whole-cut water bisons in this group. They would clean up wonderfully. The soles and heels look very good. I think the elephant loafers are by McHale. The black seal leather derbys are ok too.

At $25/shoe, I'm surprised these are still available.
