Wow, those are beautiful. Wish the Florsheim people in India would make more nice stuff like this instead of cheapie junk.Ok,the promised shoe Appreciation for @suitforcourt -Though these aren’t vintage, like the new USA made Bostonians they are of interest to many of us here as a way of trying to find silver linings in what’s become of our venerable brands. Last fall I scored these recent Florsheim Heritage LWBs on clearance from Florsheim for $109. I figured if nothing else they look great and to seal the deal used Horween Essex leather. They aren’t leather lined though it’s a fabric lining rather than fake leather. The footbed is also padded. Beyond that, the stitching is good, double row and tight. They’re comfortable and are Goodyear welted with single rather than double leather soles and have rubber toplift heels nailed in place. Most importantly the leather is buttery soft and a lovely natural color. If the pair you’re looking at is pre 1960s, they are likely high quality. If they are later than 1960s, they are likely not.Hey, I was looking at a pair of Jarman's on eBay. I'm unfamiliar with this brand--anyone have comments on the quality?
HFS. Nice flip! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. As I expected, these are on their way to Japan.

Thanks. I sent them back. Perhaps I should have tried harder to fix them. The seller is awesome and occasionally posts here. That is some bad luck. Suggest reinforcing the back of the cracked area with a leather patch glued with barge cement and wearing the shoes laced wide, but it's hard to know if that will keep the crack small.
[EDIT] Just noticed that your post was from a while back. Hope it was repairable after all.
Amen. They are fantastic. I get lots of compliments on these.I love the Boulevard. IMO AE dropped the ball when they discontinued it and stuck with(to this day) with McAlister as their SWBal. The Boulevard is sleeker and more elegant with no brogueing on the collar but larger and more prominent perforations giving it a more English look. The leather on those 80’s Boulevards also didn’t have CG like the McA’s did. Only the recent versions of the AE Independence line have comparable quality
I sent them back. The seller paid for shipping both ways. I spoke to him on the phone. Great guy and super honest. Sometimes I think I should have kept them and had eyelets put in. But that ship has sailed. Thanks for asking.@friendlygoz - whatever became of this pair?
Could someone please tell me how Wolverine 1000 Mile boots fit compared to a typical Florsheim LWB like at 93602?
With the LWB my best fit is a 9.5E, but from the look of it, the 1000 Mile boot is roomier and I'm wondering if I could get away with a 9D.
I've got my eye on this pair and wondering if I could make it work without cutting off part of my toes.
