interesting observation. I can't make them tighter without the shoes becoming uncomfortably tight. I'd like to think I tie a pretty nice Parisian knot, though the pictures do not reflect my best work.Your laces need to be tightened more. They are too loose Lautrec.

These have some water staining I’d like to try to remedy. Has anyone had luck with the full water soak or glycerin treatment to remove water stains from shell cordovan?
