Vintage Dress shoe appreciation, tips, maintenance and advice

Pretty sure these are Hanovers in 10 1/2 D. And Converse for me. [EDIT: "Sanitized Comfort Plus"; anybody
know who made these?] [EDIT #2: Hanover. See my post below]

Thank God for the Alden Barrie last, that lets these 12 D PTBs fit my 13 D feet perfectly.

Next stop. These are Church’s. 11E or EE, a "100 H Fitting" in Church’s sizing system.

Last stop. Probably Hanover or Mason for Stuart McGuire. Catch and release due to missing size markings and replacement soles.

OK one more store. Church’s wingtips that are really mint 81/2D

These are Hanover, $21 on eBay. I'm curious because the stitching on the sole looks a little...off. Crooked? Could that mean they've been resoled, or were factory seconds? (No seconds mark anywhere)

Original soles, looks like the factory just got a little sloppy.

I think Executive Imperial is Mason, not Hanover.

Scratch all that. I don't know why, but when I looked earlier I thought I saw the Executive Imperial logo.

As usual, the answer is to be found at vcleat.com. I looked on Ebay for shoes listed as "Sanitized" and noticed that a lot of them were also marked "Towncraft". @davidVC has a post entitled Vintage Made in US Brands and under Towncraft I see:

Towncraft – JC Penney brand. Primarily made by Hanover

You can bet I'll be listing these as Hanover, not JC Penney.
