The Dexter’s are nice looking, but man, they’re all kinds of Dexter-y in the details (like what’s going on with the welt skyyving at the interior waist of the shoe?). Never-the-less, a good rainy day shoe that’s still better than most main-line 150 dollar shoes today.

Now those saddles, however, look like something quite a bit more special. I could be wrong, but I think those are Hanover made Lloyd & Haig (for the old NY store). The welt style, purposely angled fudging/wheeling and stitching details say Hanover to me. Those are terrific examples of old-school saddles; I especially like the brass eyelets.
Re: the Dexters. They will serve a purpose. Decent looking and good for light rain days. They are comfortable and the leather sole shows very little wear. I could wear them frequently and they will last for years. Nothing special, but also a decent shoe.

Thanks! I love all Saddle Shoes especially old school versions!

They might be Hanover. The insole on one shoe shows part of the old Logo. But, it says Lloyd's. I think it could be a store name -- especially because it is only in one shoe. The logo is VERY hard to read and even harder to photograph. But, here is a picture of it and a picture of style number if that helps identify them.

So I am almost certain those are Hanover’s (based on style codes, etc), but whatever Lloyd’s that is, I’m pretty sure it’s not Lloyd & Haig. I wonder what store it was?

Not your fault or problem, but I can't access the two links. This is what I read on my screen:

Error 1009 Ray ID: 468acac4dedaab66 • 2018-10-12 16:02:39 UTC
Access denied
What happened?

The owner of this website (www.masoncompaniesinc.com) has banned the country or region your IP address is in (CA) from accessing this website.

I don't want to sound conspiratorial, or act paranoid.... but B Mason doesn't want Canadians from accessing their website? What? I mean, why?

I'm sure it is a Conspiracy. They have a whole line of shoes/Boots called Work America. They are clearly prejudiced against Canadians!

At least when you tried to open it, the website didn't say "TAKE OFF HOSER" Or call you a keener.

I sold a couple pair of Mason Executive Imperials a few years ago. I thought (and still think) they were trying to remake a version of Florsheim Kenmoor. They were very sturdy. They would probably be comparable to lesser Florsheims of the 90's. I found a pair at an estate sale that were 12B. They were too long for me. The one thing I noticed was that they were VERY STIFF. The heel counter felt like it was metal it was so hard. I thought if I ever found a pair they would probably last forever, but they were so stiff that my feet would be blistered and sore after wearing them. I do like the idea of making an old school heavy sturdy gunboat. But, the leather seemed a little too cheap. But, the construction seemed very good. I haven't tried another pair since. But, I would be willing to try them again -- at least the LWB. I don't like the look of the other styles they have on the website.

No dilemma. You are duty bound to buy the pair.
Posing a question like that here is akin to hanging out in a crack house and asking whether you should take another hit.

I ultimately pulled the trigger, more so because they included the vintage Florsheim shoe trees. $42 all in.

How do the 93603's fit in comparison to the 93602's? Do the PTBs fit same/different than the LWBs?
