+1 on the motto-but what’s the Latin for “I usually have them out in the wild the day after acquiring”?
Google says it is "Plerumque eos dies non aliiid ferocem."

I never took Latin. And clearly regret it for the first time in 37+ years.

I believe it was @davidVC who posited a while back that a man can't have too many longwings. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but it sounds like something he might say. I think it is possible to have too many of the exact same model, which is my current dilemma with the three pairs of 96624's and one 92604s that are crowding my shoe rack. Time to sell one pair and then regroup. These are from 1993 (FD) in 14 C. For your viewing pleasure.

Slight diversity makes this ok. Maybe two of the Florsheims along with Dexters, LB Sheppards, AEs, JMs and Nettletons. This is not redundancy in black LWBs, it is an exemplary collection. I am still looking for the Nettletons...

Wow, just wow :worship:. So cool to see the 1976 golden harvest, 1970 chestnut and the 1966 forest green all in the same collection. I would love to find one of them, much less all three.

You really know the path to my heart. The forest green really stands out. I definitely need a pair!

BTW, the AE Chesters fit and closed wonderfully. Very supple leather, despite their appearance.

Wow. That is an impressive collection of vintage shoes. Its like the 1968 Florsheim catalog (the good parts) in real life.
