Damn, those are nice for 50 bucks!!!

Meanwhile for those of us in 13-14 size range, most of the stuff lately has been glued on soles, mismatched heel tops (seriously, who glues on a too-small heel top piece?!), nails sticking through foot beds, torn uppers... all with “Great used condition, see pictures” and a 129.99 BIN.

I recommend the AE Cordovan cream as well. It does a good job of covering scuffs and scrapes on the shell surface.

Mixing my love of vintage with some new things on a clear morning. Florsheim 93631 golden harvest. Brown VBC fresco suit Spier and Mackay. Blue pencil stripe shirt Maxwell. Vintage Art Deco cufflinks. Linen silk tie Altea. IMG_1286.JPG IMG_1283.JPG IMG_1287.JPG

No way those are later than 50s with that spade sole. They look like they are trying to get a bit of the Stetson vibe going there. That Sulvaprene/O'Sullivans heel is late 50s going on a pair of J&Ms for Frank Bros NYC I have.

Hartt LWB gunboats. The contrast stitching gets me excited. Sorry for the salt stain from the winter. Public transit at its finest.

Noticed the cool arched bottom stitching on the lacing flap rather than going parallel with the top seam. Wonder if that’s a Hartt distinctive?

Here are the florsheim saddle bucks, I think they look pretty sharp, and the price was right. These have the circular florsheim logo and a date code FD, June 3, so I would guess either 73 or 83, leaning toward 83.
