Elegant. I mean like these. (NMS. Not my shoes, not my size, not my sale, not in my budget)

RARE UNWORN 1990s | FLORSHEIM IMPERIAL 8.5B BLACK SPLIT TOE 96624 V-CLEAT | eBay

Judging by the construction these appear to date back to the 1990s.

You may find slight storage wear on the soles and uppers, but otherwise in unworn (NOS) condition. Includes original box. It seems like I have limited windows of time to wear my vintage shoes. Usually in sandals from June to August. Once snow hits, I'm in boots, sometimes until May.
So now that I mostly work from home, I have fewer and fewer opportunities to wear my favourite vintage pairs.
On top of that, I pinky swore to myself that I'd stop buying vintage shell. 2 pairs have torn after they arrived. But then this pair showed up on @davidVC 's list. I think I've only seen a decent condition pair of 93606s in my size once or twice. So I made an offer. And now they're on their way to snowy Canada. View attachment 2315691
Does 9E work for you? I have a pair in 9E at home. They were rebuilt with Dainite soles and grommets.I had these on my eBay watchlist. I shouldn’t have hesitated. Enjoy them (and let me know if you decide you don’t like them!)

I'll DM you. If the 8.5eee are in good condition and I keep, I'm happy to sell you the 9E. It'll be the SF friend's priceI’m actually not sure but I suspect that they might. I only have two pair of Florsheims - one 8.5E and one 9D. The 8.5E fit marginally better but I could use a bit more width for my pinky toes. I’ve been thinking of picking up a trial (pun intended, counselor) pair in 9E.
