Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Alden 907s for a retirement party. Matched with a vintage watch.

Picked up these florsheims and didn’t realize til I got home that the codes are different. Couldn’t find any info about this, any insight appreciated.

while the production code information is different, they are both the same 20330 style code. Oddly, the date codes are very different. One was made in a year ending in 1 and the other made in a year ending in 9. How they got together is probably an interesting story.

Who knows. Sometimes a salesman will split a pair for a customer who feels a difference in two shoes the same size. Or, perhaps two pair were confused during inventory. ???

Yeah, my cobbler definitely wanted to push me toward dressier. These will be casual boots, but he handed me a 430 sample and I felt the mini-lugs on it. Should be perfectly cromulent for mid-atlantic winters.

I got the distinct feeling he was really looking forward to working on them. The seams are fraying, the welt is ruined, and the upper leather is beautiful & thick.
“cromulent”🤓

2 day conference in NYC had wrapped up. I'm back again in October. Maybe we can have a small get together for members in the area? I'll be attending the Stitchdown Boot Camp.

NYC was humid and hot, so these shell LWBs carried me around.

Just got some Florsheims back from Jeff, my local cobbler. He installed some neolite heels for me. He charges $35, which feels cheap.

correction: the 93602 from 1988 had a plastic heel stack (with leather top-lift).
