This is part of the reason I disagree with those who think navy is not a proper dress shoe colour.

A true, dark navy, looks similar to black, but has a depth of colour that black does not have.
It’s comic book black, in the best way.

Are there any 7E or 7.5D guys out here? There is a beautiful pair of NOS Florsheim Imperials 97625 on Etsy (not my listing) that can be found HERE. I think the $280 is a very good price. Appears to be original box, shoe bags and printed sales materials too. The V Cleat was replaced for a rubber sole.

BTW< there is also a NOS in black, sale size and both would be $500. Link here to see both.

The stitching reminds me of Dinkelacker from Germany.

Purely a guess as I've never heard of this brand before.
Thanks, i own a pair of Dinkelacker ,that's why that pair caught my eyes .Trying to re-search about the shoemaker name but found nothing,i guess they're small local shoemaker (maybe have some connection with Dinkelacker ?)

The Dinkelacker brewery in Stuttgart was founded by Carl Dinkelacker, whose initials are part of the name of their most popular beer, "CD Pils". The Dinkelacker shoe company was founded by Heinrich Dinkelacker, who was from Sindelfingen, a suburb of Stuttgart. Maybe they were related.

Heinrich Dinkelacker made shoes in Budapest until the company was acquired by Shoepassion (based in Berlin), who moved production to Spain.

I think it is stunning. That welt stitching uses 3 (i think) cords and is all hand done. Maybe someone knows if a machine can do that, but I don't think so.
Hungary, I believe. I thought they were in Budapest.

Dacks made by Cheaney right before bankruptcy. The infamous and controversial bicycle toe makes an appearance on the Friday heading into a long weekend. These are Seneca in walnut calf. The current Matthew Dacks revived this model but not this colour so these are true vintage.

Wishing you all a great end of work week.
