I think those are the mid 50’s Scott-McHales, but I am well on the way to drunk in a bar in Moncton New Brunswick, so I may be wrong. I was walking the red brick sidewalks of Moncton last night in my mid 50’s SEDacks Cambridge U wings, nailed heels and all. Not a slip. Cheaney loafers tonight.
if you are all the way there, let’s just agree that you send me any future 9Ds you get. Sound good? I mean, I’m not trying to take advantage of you in your current state. Not at all. No way. So… do we have a deal?

What are these? Meaning, I can see the J&M Aristocraft logo, but they seem to be a whole cut. Also, what is that welt/stitching style? Any help historical or otherwise is appreciated. Have a great Friday.

Florsheim Friday. Shell is always beautiful. The last weekend of the summer, and then it's shoe season full time! Martin Sugg rebuilt with JR soles, toe taps, grommets, and rubber heels.

Thanks David's watchlist for these ... incoming. Nettleton suede/nubuck spectators.

Based on logo, welt, and outsole, what is the estimated era of these? My wild guess would be late 60s.

What is the Nettleton Individual line? Are they lower tier than Nettleton Traditional?

Love this pair, you got a crazy good deal on them. I think this pair is older, probably early to mid 50s. I don’t know for sure what the individuals line denotes, but I don’t think it has to do with quality. I’ve seen it used on more unique styles in that era, so my guess is that it was quite directly just not traditional designs.

Thanks.

I first made an offer but quickly proceeded with the already low buy it now price.

I was thinking that the shoe laces might be original and the laces seem to suggest 40s-50s but the logo font seems 60-70s.

I was also guessing Individuals were the more stylish lines.

I am heading out for another night on the town in Moncton after a day of salmon fishing. I have the SE Dacks Cambridge out again. Feeling lucky. Double vaxxed and freshly waxed.

Some advice wax on. Some wax off. I preferred leaving it naturally until hand-plucking individual hair… Ostrich is a tricky leather to process. In fact, the feather density was maddening to the point of inspirational for what is now called the Brazilian technique… That is something I just made up.
Presenting 40s (and possibly early 50s) Edwin Clapp ostrich venti. The shoes were hand lasted, and hand stained. The color is quite vibrant up close with hint of inconsistency. It was ordered for a retail in TX. Ostrich was not a popular shoe leather until the 70s and 80s. It is rare, indeed, to see ostrich on a 40s non-cowboy-boots footwear. I’m putting EC next to my 40s Nunn Bush for comparison.
PS: almost all of my vintage came from refreshing vcleat page every couple hours. Passion is contagious.
