Any 9.5Bs in the house? This is an astounding pair of shell shoes. Check em out even if not your size. Not my auction.

Just landed. Suede AE Chester from 1995. They fit well and are in amazing condition. @Quantum17 and @stook1 inspired this purchase. I may transform the edges to natural. Great shoe. They still bear the fine detail of the golden era in the 1980s: tight welt stitching, tongue sewn to the upper, and rolling on the welt.

One of my favorite movies of all time. With one of the most funk-dubiously awesome soundtracks of all time, by Ron Grainer (best known for the Doctor Who theme, among other things).
I always enjoyed the choice of Max Steiner's "Theme from a Summer Place" for the beginning. And music just kept getting better from then on.

Last look at the J&M shortwings before I put the trees back in them. BTW in my experience vintage J&M seem to run wide. These are B/AA width, but work great for my D width feet even with thick socks like I'm wearing here. My other pair of J&M are C width, so I chanced it and it worked out for both pairs. This may be taps for my vintage shoe collecting for personal use since my shelves are full and I don't have any gaps in styles that I like.

Wear them in good health, my man. I enjoy my pair quite a bit. Yours look to be close to the shade of my pair, perhaps one notch lighter. I think @Quantum17 pair are a bit lighter still. I find they are very easy to incorporate with outfits due to the contrasting stitch even despite the dark edge and welt. Either way, glad that you like them.

Thanks, brother. I going to go for the edge transformation. I’ll post the finished product.

Love the stitching on that pair. Too bad they are so narrow they would crush my feet after just a few steps.
