Thanks for the info. They fit narrower than modern shes. So I have to take size 9AU than the normal 8AU. However the balls and joints location is right. The heel is slightly roomy than I prefer, when the forefoot fits quite well.

    To the Florsheim Family,

This is my final post and attempt to cajole you into accepting my views.

This pair is 97623 PTBs. The E width is rather snug, but I love the heavy v-cleat heels and leather soles. Though I did quite the dance routine for people when I tried to walk across a marble floor.

The shoes are a classic style and works with many different clothing options. I see many gents in the Toronto area wearing PTBs these days (Aldo, Rockport etc). If you bring back a small run to test the market, I think you'd make a business plan of it.

I don't know what more I can do to convince you that your vintage MIUSA and Canada shoes are just top notch and well loved.

If you want to know more, or want my personal input, you know how to reach me.

I'd ask that you govern yourselves accordingly.

I haven't posted here in a while, but I finally found a pair of Golden Harvest in my size (and in decent condition) on the Bay. It looks like the previous owner (or the eBay seller) burnished them pretty heavily around the broguing which I'd like to clean up going forward, but I'm really pleased with the color on them.

I was looking forward to a big Friday Florsheim Finale. Looks like a couple of nice entries above, but they are scarce on the ground, today. @suitforcourt I really like the welt stitch colour on those; great match with the shoe.

Today, I ran across an Italian made GYW Florsheim "Imperial Quality" loafer, a thing I did not know existed, going head to head with another GYW Italian loafer for pride of place on the VV shelving.

Sorry for the late post. I was planning on wearing my favorite Florsheims today but the weather forecast said otherwise.
Sleek and supple Royal Imperials. Brilliant leather and construction. I need MORE of these.

^ Seven eyelets! Superb. Is that some kind of a record?

The rain finally broke here in LA, so I’m able to wear a proper shoe. On our final day of Florsheim pitches, I’ve broken out the 1968 Golden Harvest. Aside from being a splendid shoe, this unique colorway led to the epiphany that wearing unique shoes makes you immediately identifiable when taking a dump at work. It doesn’t matter how many stalls there are, these shoes draw attention to themselves (and you).

Those look fantastic. The risk you identified is well worth it. I'm getting my own 1972 pair in shape. I'll post pictures when they are ready to go.

There are a number of vintage brands that used to run 7 eyelets. This is the only Florsheim I have seen in this configuration. They really are spectacular. Best leather of any shoe I own by a mile. Found them on Poshmark for 40 bucks.

I can’t tell how much I like them. But I’ve never seen another pair so the novelty factor is kind of cool.

I have given up trying to remain anonymous when wearing nice shoes, in the can or elsewhere.

I really dig them. Wish they were my size.
