I knew you were not joking. I could see the shoe symbol shining high in the sky all the way from Ottawa! Something had to be afoot!

I just got some. I’ve been cleaning them. I own saphir light brown which is what I use on my walnut shoes. You think that would work? They cleaned up nicely. I’ll post full results when I’m done.

Looks like our clan is stocking up on golden harvest!

I'm going to look for the Meltonian camel and saddle for colour. The usual conditioning regime first though.

I also bid on 2 pairs of shell... Man, I have really fallen off the wagon. In style at least.

There will definitely be a golden harvest theme coming up for a shoe schedule.

For my walnut shoes, I use AE walnut, Collonil 1909 light brown (the preferred brand of our leader @davidVC ).

That light brown is a color for the 93602s it will darken the golden harvest.

Called into work so this is as good as they are gonna get this week.
Inspired by Nucky's shoes at the opening of Boardwalk Empire.

Acetone rub down and a couple coats of Angelus dark brown dye with a paint brush. Bick4, meltonian light brown and dark brown cream for the color blocking and a coat of neutral Lincoln wax.
Will get some more wax, some more edge work and some rubber heels in the future.

Out for the day in the mid-60s MacNeils. Me thinks that AE changed the last a little bit, as these are significantly more snug than my black cashmere calf MacNeils from 1984.

Most notably is the toes feel more pointy. I’ll have to compare them side by side. The right shoe is currently a candidate for a wee bit of stretching.
