This is a pretty awesome piece. It's a vintage US Navy peacoat that I've dated it to 1966 based on the inside tags. Take a look here for more information on dating USN peacoats. Made of a substantial Melton wool with a satin liner. Single vent, six button front with an additional button for the collar, corduroy lined pockets. In fantastic shape with no signs of damage, tears, stains, rips, or smells. Definitely wouldn't know that it is from 1966 unless you looked on the tag and did a little detective work. You can even see the name (Price) and serial number of the sailor it was issued to. I'm not sure, but I think the DN stands for Department of the Navy. It's tagged as a 36R, but I'm a 38R and it wears fine on me. Measurements are provided below. From outside shoulder seam to cuff: 25" Shoulder to shoulder: 18.5" Underarm to underarm: 19.5" (measured on outside when buttoned) I priced it at $100 as that seemed comparable to what something of similar construction and quality was going for (keep in mind this was USA made). Cool piece of American history that will keep you warm and looking sharp.
