The collection drops next thursday; pics here (scroll for menswear): http://www.nitrolicious.com/blog/200...hm-collection/

Three thoughts:

1. This collection is nice, but it doesn't knock me over with awesomeness. There are a few things I'd pick up if they fit nicely.
2. The price points are a touch high for H&M, creeping into middle department store territory. The quality should be more V&R than H&M for what they're charging.
3. Everything decent [and all the womens' stuff] will be sold out in the first hour, and I'm not one to get up really early to go line up at 6am. I'd pick up the A shirt with buttons and the women's scarf, but the other stuff doesn't really scream out for purchase.

Your thoughts?

overall there was nothing that made me think "gotta have it" which I'm happy for. Not too into the arrow motifs. Some of the blazers/suits looked ok, but again nothing that screamed "I NEED IT". I saw more items of interest in the women's section for my chick.

I think the arrows on the chest pocket are kind of interesting. It is nice that they remembered to make that pocket sewn-on to match the other sewn-on pockets. Often designers don't do this. Otherwise, yeah, nothing stupendous.

Is this stuff that will show up at every H&M store, or just certain ones?

I like the trenchcoat and that red/white argyle sweater vest. The rest is meh, but a lot of the women's line is nice.

It'll probably just be in NYC and other major cities.

This caught my eye:

Speaking of which, GetSmart, I'd love a nice, slim suit by next May for a wedding. (cough)

At the same time...I would have to say that it looks like a blend of Viktor and Rolf and H&M. It looks like what it is.

It's not bad, I'm just too cheap for most of it (the prices are on hm.com). But I'm too cheap for a lot of things (the 3 most expensive things in my closet are a $140 leather jacket, an $85 burberry prorsum blazer, and a $70 pair of shoes).

I quite like the peacoat; the collar looks very well cut. The arrow motif is cool; I see it as sort of a downtown answer to the old-money preppy aesthetic. The suiting looks like it's got that up-to-the moment short and fitted silhouette. The jeans might be nice, I'll definitely try them on if I can.

I actually like some of the items, but I'm with the rest of you.. more than likely not worth the money. For the price of those blazers, you could grab something from jil sander or margiela off of eBay and be infinitely more satisfied. hell you could probably get something from V&R off eBay for that price.

The women's stuff looks so grandma'd out to me, it's crazy.

It kind of reminds me of Jackie Kennedy so I like the feel, except for a couple of really hideous grandma-wear.

It'll probably look good layered under jackets. I just see zero cleavage and vaguely mom-cut pants; but I'm sure the clothes look better on an actual person. The tuxedos are damn sexy, though.
