I'm going to buy it Friday.

I can tell this is going to be a game that my girlfriend will want to watch me play.

I picked it up earlier today. I played it for about an hour and half after work. So far so good. The graphics are amazing (everyone knows that, though). One thing I like is, it seems like it'll take a while to get thru. Like I said, I only played for about an hour and a half and I'm still a uniform cop. Investigating is pretty cool. You have to look around at practically everything because a clue might be there. Driving is fun. Got into a couple of fist fights and one shoot out so far. I'll definitely be playing it a lot this weekend.

Sony announces the PSN Welcome Back Package.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/...north-america/

Some nice goodies being given out for free for the month long service outage. Between this and the year subscription to the identity theft prevention program, it looks like Sony is off to a good start in building back some good will.

Ads on these are pretty tamed but it is also not as hyped as it should be among gamers because of no multi-player option. The industry is claiming it to be ground breaking and game of the year but fact is that most games these days survive due to multi-player so that not being a part of this game will hurt it a bit.

I've seen the ad where the guy with the realistic facial expression has a nervous breakdown ("I'm not lying to you!") about 100000 times.

After the epic debate with AR and JapanAlex about Fallout, I installed Boot Camp on my Mac just so I could play Fallout 2. Wish there was more time in the day to play.

I've played a few hours, and it is fun! Need a decent computer though.

I'm a few hours in and there are parts that are extremely frustrating. Difficulty in the prologue is extremely steep, combat is unsatisfying to me, some other quirks. Think it still has a lot of potential, but this is the first non-COD game that has me cursing out loud in a while.

I have a pretty old graphics card and it runs fine on mine.

is Brink really as bad as all the reviews I've seen? pretty surprised considering Splash Damage also made the best multiplayer FPS PC game of all time.

Is an AMD X4 Propus and Geforce 9500 GT good enough?
