Edit: Totally agreed re: the Steam sale. Went a little overboard with Christmas presents this year so I'm poor(er), but picked up $5 Torchlight so far.
How is torchlight? I played the demo and was less than impressed. Edit: I hate this sale so much. Just bought Indigo Prophecy and Braid when all I meant to do was download the two Max Paynes, which i bought earlier today [IMG]

You got one of the best games in years for like $0.37, stop complaining.

Speaking of best games in years everyone needs to go buy Psychonauts.

It's good, if generic. I'm easily amused by the companion pet system and fishing. Better than Titan Quest, Mythos, etc., etc.

Since Pandemic released the beta patch for the Saboteur, it's what I've been playing for the past few days. It is, unfortunately, still buggy, which is a shame because the game is quite enjoyable.

I love the Max Payne games. Unlike most shooters, the story is engaging and the characters memorable.

I'd take advantage of the Steam sale if I could get Boot Camp working on my MBP...

That steam sale makes me wish I had a PC instead of a Mac. Are there ANY good games for Mac?

Just got Spirit Tracks this morning. Have played about 90 minutes. The game is fun so far. The graphics are nice.... animation is in the same style as Phantom Hourglass but better, IMO. Only thing I dislike is that the stylus is the only control-- but that might be b/c I have a DS and not a DS Lite [IMG] . Anyway, I like how it's obviously a Zelda game but there are big storyline differences. However, they make a couple funny/whimsical tips of the hat toward the old games, like when Link is dressed as a "new recruit" at the castle and it's actually the old green tunic from games past. That kind of stuff is fun. This may be nitpicky, but I don't like how they made Zelda herself super girly. Like how she is only worried about the demon using her body as his own and how she talks about hating the rats... I dunno.
