I just received my third order. Took only about three weeks this time. It included a couple of pair of their two-toned, one of which looks like this in real life:

Order arrived Friday, was about two weeks in packing and shipping--pretty good.

Socks are a little snug (I was between sizes and went small) but the heavy winter weight is just about right...will toss up some pics when I get time this week.

Ok, I am contemplating an order here, several questions:
    - I was going to order all weights, but I live in Switzerland, should I even bother with the thin and summer weights?
    - Why is there no navy for Super heavy cotton socks and the merino ones? Also, would love super heavy cotton OTC socks. (not really a question)
    - Is there a Styleforum discount code?
    - What's the rough shipping time to Europe?
    - Do they offer no show/invisible socks?

    Thanks in advance

If you go back in the thread you'll find a styleforum discount code, or email them for it. My advice for good wear is to get the heaviest socks. Shipping time depends on their stock levels etc. and could be three weeks.

Thanks, I clicked on the link they have in their signature which automatically applies the 20% discount code.

I ordered every type of socks today and see which suits me best.

I am still a bit annoyed that they dont have navy in merino and heavy cotton.

Just getting around to posting on these after a week of wear. Got a slew of the heavy winter weight OTCs in solids. Liking them so far and the colors hold up great after well...two washings. The claret and lilac look fantastic. No slippage, no quality complaints, and they are wearing well in Tampa weather so far. I guess you could get better socks for $20-30 a pair--maybe--but if it ain't broke there's nothing to fix there. If Viccel ever releases more patterned styles that will be the ball game for me.

One point that I wish I had known: the Navy and Green are so dark that from any sort of distance and/or in anything less than good light they look almost black. If you want a blue sock that looks blue, you need Egyptian Blue or Turquouise.

Sorry for the lack of shoe shots.

L to R: Claret, Scarlet, Lilac, Purple, Egyptian Blue, Turquoise, Hunter Green, Navy.

For the hottest days I wear linen socks, but I just put in an order for winter weight cotton--perfect year around weight IMO. Summer weight are a touch too thin for me, can't imagine what the fine are like.

Where on earth do you get them? They're like hens teeth, and I'm not keen on forking out $30 a pair to get them from Kabbaz the ould fraud.

Kent Wang is about the only place I've found that sells OTC linen socks.

I don't check my mailbox too frequently. Was pleasantly surprised to find Viccel's package in there.

17 days from the date of order to my pick up. Minus a few days (possibly) to account for my lack of checking. Not bad.

Just posting as a major thank you to Viccel.

I placed an order for 11 pairs of socks from Viccel on March 15. The order was for my wedding socks; I had been looking everywhere for solid light pink socks and surprisingly, they weren't very easy to find. Myself and my two groomsmen all wore our own light grey suits, white shirts, black ties, and brought out a little of the wedding color with our socks and pocket squares.

The thing is, about a week after placing my order, I hadn't heard anything about whether they had been shipped or not so I started to get worried so I sent them a quick email to check on the status so I could start looking for backup socks if the order wouldn't make it before I left to travel for the wedding. I received a prompt reply back saying the socks had actually already been taken to the post office in Turkey and because customs can sometimes hold up the process for quite a long time, they would go the very next morning to recall the shipment. I was told they can pull them back and send UPS priority to make sure I got them in time.

When they emailed me the next day, I was asked only for my address so I inquired as to what the additional shipping cost would be to weigh whether or not I should just go pick up a few pair at Thomas Pink for $33 each (I had no idea what international shipping would cost from Turkey to Nevada).

I got a really nice reply back that they just wanted to confirm my address and Viccel would cover the expedited shipping cost as a wedding gift! I was actually blown away, I work in the service industry and they knocked it out of the park here. I knew before I even got the socks that I was a customer for life. I had only mentioned the wedding in my original email to state the reason why I was anxious to receive them and they ran with it and made sure I got them.

This review was long overdue but I'm glad I'm finally getting it out there. The socks were great and everyone complimented us on them - once I have time, I may post a photo to show them off. For the price, they can't be beat. I ordered 11 pair, all winter weight aside from one heavy cotton (to compare) and I paid less than I would have buying only 3 pair from Thomas Pink and the quality is equal if not better (I ended up getting a pair from TP just to compare).

Thanks again to Viccel for the great socks and even better service.

Lasts winter I purchased 14 of the Heavy Winter Weight OTC. I was rather impressed with them so thought I'd get some thinner ones and compare them to my Palatino 920L socks. The Palatino are pretty light so I ordered the Super Fine and the Summer.

The Summer Weight are very similar to the Palatino,.they feel like the same thickness and when you hold them up to the Sun they look to be the same thickness. They are both really soft and feel the same for softness. They are very similar, about the only way I can tell them apart when I get them out is the band at the top, the Palatino is not very wide in comparison.

The Viccel are a little longer which I like for myself, I'm 6'1" I can see my feet through the Viccel socks when they are on, quit a bit more than the Palatino. I assume this is because the Palatino are made on a 260 needle knitting machine. The Palatino have approx twice as much stretch, this sock is really a couple of inches shorter but that is where it comes to and stays all day. The Palatino really disappear when you wear them where the Viccel are nice but you can tell you have them on, in comparison.

$36 (left) vs $12.99 (right) It is amazing you can get such a nice sock at such a great price. For some reason the Palatino looks darker in the pic, to me they both look like the same navy.

My first order came in, I ordered a pair of each weight and two bi colors.

I cannot comment on much yet, but here are my first impressions:
    - I really like the colors of the cotton socks (ordered navy and burgundy)
    - The weights feel nice and the range is well covered
    - I really really dislike the color of the clarinet red merino socks, they are a brown/rust but nowhere near the color of the regular clarinet red cotton socks. I consider the color unwearable to be honest.

I will wear them and see how they are holding up in comparison to my other socks (Falke and Vitrano or w/e Italian brand I got).
Definitely happy with the purchase overall and will consider ordering again in the future.
