Vibram 5 fingers

I love my Vibrams. People need to understand that you just can't put them on for the first time and run 5 miles in them. It takes time to get your feet and legs adjusted to them. If the military allows them to be worn when working out I'm pretty sure they are safe for them gym.

Yes the Army banned them from wearing them in their Physical Training uniforms, but they haven't banned them from the base gyms.

erm shipping is 33 dollars to where i live, anyone willinmg to do a proxy for me please?

33 bucks shipped to Singapore isn't a bad price. I doubt a proxy would be able to do it for any cheaper

I had to deal with this for the past two years. Military people are very polarized on VFFs; however, in my experience it was only a small segment who were outraged by the appearance (albeit some of guys were in positions of power). Most people, even if initially apprehensive, were at least interested in trying them out.

I did enjoy the scowl several ignorant bastards had on their face as I easily outpaced them while running in VFF.

What's the shelf life on these things? I'm interested in grabbing a pair for lifting and running.

Mine are in pretty good shape after running and lifting in them for two years.

The outsole has held up very well and I expect another two years at the minimum.

They are supposed to last significantly longer than regular running shoes since there is no midsole.
