Something like that olive 3sixteen make-up would fill a nice void in
my line-up. Ultimately though, if its not black and has a double leather
(no cap toe necessary imo), I'm all in.

I'm all in for the brown CXL on this MTO. But I really like this cognac color for the next one. I can see how this MTO addiction could become a problem....

So... This make up sounds great to me:

    Model: Derby
    Last: 2040
    Leather: 3sixteen olive
Captoe: Brogued cap toe preferably (big fan of the Tricker's Minster, but Viberg would be even nicer)
    Midsole: Natural
    Tongue: Olive
Sole: Open to both double leather or dainite (looks good on this prototype)

So far I really like the brown or natural cxl as my favorite. Though I would consider the olive or Essex if that is what is decided

I've been looking for a pair of straight-up mid-brown derbies or shortwings for a few months – I'm definitely interested if we end up with the brown CXL.

I think brown CXL or ebony Essex. The ebony is kind of a cool subtle twist compared to the sea of CXL

Is the 3sixteen olive on the table? If so, then I may have to jump in on this, too...

We are going to do a brown cxl or ebony Essex for this particular makeup but will consider other leather for later makeups.

Which leather? And dainite or double leather sole?

    Cheers,

    Fok.

I would say double leather and Ebony Essex. However, I would love to see a few more pics of the leather if possible

I'm leaning brown cxl but would consider Essex if I could get a better feel for the look

    Double leather sole for sure

Brown CXL for sure, including the tongue.
Brown double leather sole with dovetail heel. I think brown leather looks better than the natural leather sole on the samples I have seen.
Five antique brass eyelets or blind eyelets, either way.

sample boot with brown leather sole...

Brown leather sole appears more versatile.
