I associate Viberg so strongly with the 2030 last that that doesn’t even register as Viberg. Funny too because my 12EE feet will almost certainly fit far better in the flat 2045 than the awkward on my 2030 last.

They’re definitely a little wider than the 2030. I’d say close to E width but not sure how EE would fair.

i would recommend getting the shoe trees from jos a bank. the reason being they are a bit flatter at the toe area and fits shape better, which most vibergs have slim design. From my experience woodlore shoe tree has slightly thicker toe for my 2030.

No toe structure

Trying to figure this out as well. From the looks of it 2040 is a little narrower in the toe box than 2045 and doesn't have as much of a bump. So like a narrower version of this new flat toe 2045?

When they first came out with 2040 it was supposed a compromise of a more generous fit that the 2045 offered but less "Munsony" than 2045. I don't recall seeing it lately. I preferred the 2045. This new last that is the 2045 with no toe bump which is different than structured. It's a modified shape. Structure is whether the toe box collapses or not over time with wear.

I need some shoe trees for my boots, got a few I'd like to dress up.
For the 1931 Service boots with 2030 last, which shoe tree would be best fitting? Vibergs own, or some other?

Viberg’s own shoe trees work fine for the 2030. They slot in snugly, but I don’t feel they are putting any excessive pressure on the boot.

Otherwise, the Houndsbay shoe tree on Amazon fits nicely. I use a medium for a 8.5 2030. Works well for the slimmer lasts as well. Each pair comes with a sanding block, which is handy.

Thank you. Woodlore has their sale now though. Figure I may buy some there and have them sanded down in case Viberg boots does not comply. The Viberg one looks pretty similar to the solid one they are selling.
