Similar to you, I have an old ass box from Viberg from my Color 8 CXLs I got in 2015.. just a brown one piece shoe box with their logo right? lol

It's a piece from the edges of the hide that has heavy break and is typically discarded by makers but whatever.

If it were an intentional distressing/breaking like my guidi boots it would look better because the entire shoe is based on that aesthetic but the effect is jarring against the otherwise entirely smooth boot.

And no, this box is a black one piece with a hinged lid. My old boxes were white and grey two piece boxes.
