2 weeks of good off-duty wear for the zulu waxy kudus. Some cosmetic loose grain on one toe cap. Fit is honestly impeccable (and I normally wear orthotics with hot weather rough outs for work).

Probably 30-40 hours, mostly multi-mile walks in wet dirt and gravel. Just rinsed off in these pictures - you can see the toe cap is markedly darker due to dampness. Treed most of the time when not in use.

Am I am Obenaufs candidate? Just for the edge and welt near the toecap (not on the toecap itself)? This area is constantly wet here in the PNW and I am on my feet on some walks for hours. Just rub in a little with a gloved finger?

Rare to see olive with such yellows, very cool. Do these have a structured or unstructured toe? If the latter I gotta' keep on an eye on the secondary market.
Structured I guess. 🤷‍♂️ It’s not floppy.
Got them from Blue Button shop last year.

To prevent the snow melt/salt from getting into the leather, for the winter months I use Saphir - Graisse HP Dubbin (Salmon oil based) once or twice during them winter months depending on use in the snow. This product was recommended by Viberg.com I find it to be a great protectant against excess moisture during the winter.

I suspect I may be in the minority, but I'm liking a lot of these. The wedge soles look great with the kangaroo leather, the sneakers have never looked better, and the suede is a great classic spring color. I don't know why they made Pachena Bays for S/S, but lots I'd wear here.

The only part that's a miss for me are the service boots. They look like afterthoughts made with spare leather in the factory, rather than a part of this collection.
