Just a small gripe. "North of Cordovan" is the common industry term to refer to horsehide strip and now it's "above". If it's anything like Horween's CXL strips, it will make for a great work boot but expect large creases. Horsefronts are much better.

CXL is horsehide? I had no idea, I thought it was just cowhide.

Its new so very few people did
C.F. Stead utilizes the most premium selection of steer hide, called the Culatta. The Culatta is a specific cut of side leather made up of steer hides from the bend & belly.

Also, all of the service boots are 8+ eyelets (scouts are 7 as usual).

Wanted a pair of viberg shoe trees for
My MTO and noticed that size small is sold out online. Reached out to CS and was told they may be making last-specific trees going forward. Anyone have a viberg shoe tree in a size small for me? :)
