No one knows at this point as it’s a new tannage.

if I were to guess, being horsebutt, I’d say low to medium wrinkles with some waves.

Both look really good. Still prefer the Dark Rubber Dublin but that may be because I committed a few weeks ago.

I kind of wish Viberg offered a different configuration for the Natural Essex and that would have tempted me more. Ridgeway or Commando? Plain toe? 2040 last?

Otherwise, even the side by side makes the DRD and Nat Essex look similar enough that you only need one. Oh well.

I thought so too but that release had regular eyelets instead blind and was on the 2020 last

I have 2 pair of boots in the pipeline. It has been 4 months and they are due in 2. Some of the boots posted here look so great, perfect in fact. A couple other boots almost make me doubt their authenticity, like they are actually seconds. Scary and also disappointing.

Such an adventure. Really happy this forum and this specific thread are here. 2 more months to go.

Off they went with DHL today. Here’s hoping I get them via proxy at a SS!

Really sympathize with fellows that paid a premium in full and trusted for months they would receive a quality product to enjoy for a lifetime. Making boots is what Viberg does. A business that presents itself as premium can't send defects out and then offer a small rebate after the customer complains.

I'm still hoping and trusting but fully grasp the level of insult and disappointment some of you feel. Good to learn from your experience. Viberg are the ones that exposed me to this whole style in the first place and almost every cool boot I see is a Viberg or a copy of them.

Seeing as how this Shinki butt fiasco occurred and remembering I had major FOMO when I decided to join and it was too late. I’m ******* happy lol.

I prefer the dublin workshoe butt over the Essex. I got excited for them and the Essex was a bit underwhelming, although I would prefer a lighter antiqued welt. I also noticed the antiqued welt is darker on my 1071 in comparison to older releases. It may be a different aesthetic Viberg is approaching.
