I do like the black tongue a lot, is it horsehide as well?

It’s work shoe Horsebutt. It apparently has the shell portion of the butt intact. My understanding is that it is a chromexel tan age

The tongue is definitely black oil tan. Same leather as used on the tongues of my color 8 cxl and black waxed flesh.

I’m sorry. I misread your question. I thought you were asking about the boot. Honestpanda is correct about the black tongue.

Those new shell slippers look interesting (it almost looks like they have Dainite soles from the side, which would be a first for that pattern). Anyway, here are some brown pigment horsebutt derbies that are just now starting to break in. These uppers have been stiffer than anything else I’ve encountered from Viberg.

Viberg just posted some more photos of the shell slippers on IG. They might actually be on the Lactae Hevea soles? Depending on the price and the sole, I may pull the trigger on these.

I like their slippers better without the 360 storm welt. besides who really wears slippers in the thick of the elements, not sure a storm welt makes much sense on a slipper like this.
