I definitely still want some type of Veager. Doesn't need to be ammunition, and I guess it can't be if it goes through the original stockist I reached out to. I'm going to try and circle back at the end of the year with him, then I'll try other avenues.
Keep us in the loop, I would be excited for this makeup.

If you want REALLY thick and can still find some…

Rototo Teasel.

Every bit as good as Chup but much thicker.

S&S sells Rototo, but not sure about that style. They look pretty nice though!

For me personally, if I have a Viberg or similar that I can comfortably wear a really thick sock with, that means the boot is too big for my liking. It's too warm here, and if I go to really cold climes, I just use my Ugg Buttes.

I could see buying a pair or two a half size big for the purpose of wearing super thick socks, but as a Californian doesn’t really make sense. Thin dress socks are the order of the day most of the year and Chups are already almost too thick to be worn with the same boots.

Yeah climate is a big thing – I'm in Minnesota so a different set of factors here!

Here’s my newest addition. Based off what I’ve seen in this thread, I think my style varies from most of you; I like slightly baggier fits, more Japanese aesthetic than anything.

Agreed. This is the first week I have started wearing boots again, it's been so damn hot. I like being able to wear dress socks with my boots, so I tend to size a little smaller.

I actually don’t think thicker socks is the answer for warmth. I prefer a medium sock weight in the winter and switch between merino, yak, and qiviut if it’s really cold... I also live in MN.

Material makes the most difference imo. Also depends how much time will be spent in cold weather consecutively and the activity level. Thick socks won't make your feet warm, but it does a better job of preventing your feet from freezing than medium socks. Especially when stationary.

If you're constantly moving, medium is great. Thick socks will just make your feet sweat, which if it can't evaporate will make your feet feel colder.

Hmmm WF just sent an email that Viberg forgot to include any size 9s with their shipment of Brown Suede Derby Boots. Goes live tomorrow at 5EST.
