All this talk of 3sixteen, so today I went with one of the 3sixteen makeups I have here. This is the 3sixteen × Viberg Cap Toe Service Boot (2030) in Vintage Mocha Oil Harness:

@smartbrother, your link was going to their main footwear page, so here's a direct link to the product page for the ones in my photo above: https://www.3sixteen.com/collections/footwear/products/cap-toe-service-boot-vintage-mocha

The second run of these models came out much lighter. I visited the shop last year intending to pick up a pair of the plain toes in 1035 and ended up with just some socks and t-shirts.

In the photo I posted, there was fairly direct natural light in front of the boots from a window.

Also, I've seen some posts that suggest there may have been different runs, some darker, some lighter. Here are a couple of reddit posts:

In this one they look darker: https://www.reddit.com/r/goodyearwe...month_review_3sixteen_x_viberg_vintage_mocha/

In this one they look more like mine: https://www.reddit.com/r/goodyearwe...al_impressions_3sixteen_viberg_mocha_harness/

Got it. I guess my pair must be from that first run ??

I think you’re right about 2030...it does not suit this pattern well. I think I may have liked it better if it was on 2040 maybe?

2030 is a great last for that pattern from what I've seen. Miloh Shop's release was killer (wish I hadn't slept on it): https://milohshop.com/collections/viberg/products/viberg-waxed-deer-country-derby-boot-2030-last

What's off about Withered Fig's to me is that isn't kind of a cross between a dressier boot and a work boot. Leather is too rugged and eyelets are too big relative to the boot pattern, last choice, and faux cap.

If they'd done a finer lined leather and small eyelets along with the 2030 and faux cap, I'd be into it.

I agree that the country boot pattern appears better suited for the less-sleek lasts and tougher leathers. Following are some fresh pics of my 4 year old country boots from 14 OZ; 2040 last, Horween brown waxed flesh leather on Commando sole. Unstructured toes but this super tough, thick and heavy leather hasn’t collapsed at all, at least in my view. Very little care on these; dry brushed 5-6 times a year, never applied cream or wax of any sort. They are on their third set of leather laces and one of them is about to snap, so I’ve gotten over one year of use per set of laces. Not bad.
The dark smudge on top of the left boot is due to occasional motorcycle use. I’ve got insoles in them because my usual size 10 was a bit loose on the 2040. Perfect with an insole. Only thing that bugs me occasionally is when the loop in the counter snags on the pant hems. Mostly happens on lighter weight bottoms, like chinos. Rarely on heavier denim, 17-21-25 oz makeups.

Just ordered the charcoal scout from 3sixteen. Now can SOMEONE please tell me where I’m going for a resole?! I’m thinking either leather stack or or 2060.

We can argue specs all day, but I hope most of us can agree that the one thing that looks great on a pair of Vibergs is some real wear.
