Nice idea smartbrother.

i started off with a pair of engineers, Ironheart x Viberg on 1005 last with black oiltan leather on cat’s paw soles. This was back in 2015.
And last year I got my last pair, second hand from Woofmang I believe, oxfords on 1035 last from Miloh Shop with mushroom chamois on Dr. Sole.

No Viberg purchase yet in 2020 but I’m craving a black boot for motorcycle rides in town.

Seems like the recent run of Mushroom Reverse Chamois from S&S has much more a greenish hue to it. Although it is hard to capture it in photos.

Are olive and coffee chromepak leathers dead and gone? Going back in this thread and seeing some of the pics of those makeups with the black contrast tongue, they look incredible.

Ok gents, 2020 last sizing, let’s go. Who takes it same as 2030, and who sizes up? I take 2030 and Barrie in the same size and 2030 generally fits me fine although I do occasionally get heel slippage when the boot isn’t fully lined.
I size up from 2030 and Barrie for 2020 last.

2030: 8.5
Barrie: 8.5E
2020: 9

Thanks. Viberg told me that if you're an E width in Barrie then you might need to size up from 2030 for 2020. I am D width in Barrie so thinking probably same size as 2030 for me. But good to hear others' experiences.

Yeah I'd say that's accurate. 2020 size 9 has slightly more volume than 2030 size 8.5, at least to my feet. The last feels 10x better though. I've never had a pair of vibergs feel this comfortable out of the box.

It is certainly a tough color to render on pics/screens. Never saw the S&S version physically but it does look greener innpics than the Miloh run. Here are two other pics in different light.

I’d say this pic is a more accurate color rendition. The shoe next to it is a wheat roughout.

This last pic with the box again has a yellower tint. Late afternoon light.

2020 is a really nice last, I picked up a 9 from the mr p sale and they fit wonderfully, makes me wonder if I’m truly a 9 in the 2030 rather than a 9.5

For those who have participated in Viberg's various MTO events: how was the process? Do they let you go wild with the customizations?

I wish they offered MTO online. They could do it preorder style and accept an allotted amount of orders

Seriously. BTW in case I can't get the black horsebutt going, I've been searching for alternatives. I just found out you can get Wesco boots with a single piece counter from a Chinese shop called "Mansway":

I wonder what these would look like unstructured.

Pretty open ended. They have samples on hand. But having done it online elsewhere there’s not that much benefit unless you want order an upper leather you’re unsure of.
