Received my DR natural cxl horsebutt boots today. Overall I think think this makeup looks great. The leather has a lot of texture to it. Finishing details on these are pretty good - there is some non-perfect grain break on the top of the R boot but it's not like these are dress boots so no biggie. Unlined with a partially structured toe seems like they it work well for this build. The inside inserts were both coming loose when I inspected them which is kinda lame but they pushed down and seem ok afterwards.

Nice. Let’s see more pics! Mine aren’t due to arrive until next Monday...UPS takes forever to ship from one coast to the other.

Yes, I do have this pair. Not generally a fan of all black boots, but the contrast stitching and natural midsole combined with the brass eyelets and the chamois texture really works on this pair.

do you have any pictures of the boots?
I mean more specifically in the wild and not portrait shots

Sizing and fit of the last consistent with that of the 2045?
They actually told me to size down a .5 from my normal.

Took more pics. Sorry for the tease. They look so much more rounded from above compared to any other angle. Nature of the last I guess

They look great. They recommended to me .5 down from 2030/2040 but I assume you'd size 2045 and 2055 the game since 2055 is just a flat toe version of 2045. Interested in hearing your thoughts on fit after you've tried them on.

I went against their advice and took the same size as 2040 and 2030 but I also find 2040 to be a little tight in the instep for my tastes. We'll see how that gamble plays out for me.

How much do you go down from Brannock for 2040/2030?

My feet are weird, wide with a high instep, and I'm probably one of the few who goes tts. Viberg 2030 tts is pretty much perfect for me (I take e width Barrie tts as well). Both 2030 and 2040 are good in width but 2040 is fairly tight across in instep. I may need another .5 up in 2040 but haven't tried.

Since 2045/2055 seems to be closer to 2040 than 2030 and because from what I was seeing a number of people take 2045 in the same size as 2030 I erred on the side of caution and went that way as well. I figured I'd rather wind up slightly too big but within the margin of sock thickness or small pads than go too small.
