Yes, half Japanese was 705 with Cats Paw heel and structured toe.

Spymaster toe was to be partially structured. I thought black stitching might blend in too much so they could have the grey stitchdown like the Smoke Reverse Kudus have.

I guess the Spymaster is now a service boot, eh?

Yeah, we can do that. Or have it GYW, though on that specific boot, I see it more as a stitchdown service boot.

I surmise that an issue for Notre may have been that a number of the models that lingered were GYW. The stitch down models appeared to sell more quickly.

I hope it is okay to ask, but please delete if not:

    Rugged Chelsea

    2050 Last
    GYW
Black grain-side water buffalo or oil tan
    black side gores
black edges (would compromise on antique)
435 Vibram Mini-Lug half soles or 430...but I am flexible

This would be a great-looking, tough, super-practical boot...I love my new Viberg Chelseas in #8 CXL...

Question for you guys.. the new pair of boots I posted a few pages back has a bit of a tear on one of the stacked heels as if the adhesive is weak or not holding. It looks like with enough moderate force that it could come off fairly easily. Should I contact viberg directly about it? Or should I go through the vendor first?

Short Shift has the standard white (or is it off white?) stitch down.

    Fok,

"Traveler heel" on the Short Shift is actually a White's Boots reference (same thing as 90 degree blocked heel).

Regarding nailed down construction on the SCSB...is that what's causing the issue with balance? I think we need to go with the 110 and 705 heel and half sole. If the issue with balance is just because of the nailed down request, then I think we skip that and go with the standard construction. I'm not familiar with the 160 and I'm not a fan of the logger heel.

    Thanks.

So then it would be 8 eyelets, right(not 7 like the Scout)?

I did not really know what nail down construction was(thought it was merely use of nails at the toe and other end for the 705 to be secured like the Route 10 and half Japanese). So, I assume nail down construction option will be eliminated on this boot due to same issues with the SCSB.

Yeah, I think it was a romantic notion, but probably overkill.

7 eyelets is perfect I think. Why go 8?

    Sorry buddy.

I got mixed up. The Scout is 6 eyelets. My question should have been- so then it would be 7 eyelets right?

I think I will vote for the SCSB, Spymaster AND Sinister Oxford, in hopes that at least one 110 makes it through. I wish the leather were different on the Sinister, as I already have the Half Japanese. They are all nice makeups. Let's see how the voting pans out.

As the "creator" of The Sinister and Spymaster, and I feel I can vouch for Raneleigh who birthed the SCSB, I say THAT'S THE SPIRIT!

I too have the half Japanese. That is why I suggested black waxed on the Sinister. I thought it was as different from the Ebony Latigo as I could get. Plus I love waxed flesh having the brown waxed from last years GMTO.

Plus the Black waxed will age and patina like the Brown Fat Waxed:

But will start like this('cept black of course!):

Probably a better representation for the Spymaster though.....

Which leather would you have preferred for the Sinister?

Something different than the Spymaster which will also be Black waxed flesh?

Man this is going to be tough. I'm way in on the Sinister Oxford. Will likely vote for the Spymaster and the Sneaker Boot also. I can see myself owning the SCSB too. Crikey, this is a rich selection.

I wish Viberg worked with Care Credit.

Although PayPal with their 6 months interest free is pretty good(but I only have credit for one pair![IMG])

Still looking for someone to trade their size 8 unglazed shell preorder for my size 9 preoder, or to take it over.

All these names - The Fat Waxed Flesh, the Half-Japanese... I sometimes wonder about the wisdom of letting you guys name these makeups [IMG]

But yeah, I think that we are iterating well on 7 or some makeups on which to vote.

That's part of the charm of these GMTO's.
