I envisioned this as a more casual boot so 7 eyelets would be my preference. I am not looking for something too tall

How would this work for Canadians? Would it be sent to the states first and then back to Canada? I really want vibergs but don't want to be stuck with import fees on a Canadian boot. And is there any interest in a merlot service boot?

I think eventually there would be cordovan offering. In speaking with Viberg in the past this would change the leadtime and cost considerably. This is going to be an on-going process so my suggestion is just to wait for the particular makeup that appeals to you.

if the price is really around 550$ then i'l definitely in for the icy mocha 2030 service boot.
I'd prefer the standard number of eyelets and would love all leather soles (although I can live with dainite)

will it also have the top band stitching as on the picture (which I prefer)

This sounds really nice, a classic combo... would it have a cap-toe?

I feel you. I am the same way. I have a pair in the 2030 last, and while they look cool, they are not that comfortable to wear. I would definitely advocate for a deconstructed toe on the 110 last. I chose that, and that was also Guy and Morgan's recommendation.

I would think so. That's one of the really distinctive features of the service boot. Whether the captoe would be brogued would be by vote/consensus.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Hey i am most likely in depending on cost. At 550 I'm in for sure. What is the cost going to be on these? Also i prefer the 10 eyelets but am fine with 7 or 8 too

    Fok,

Any first hand quotes on pricing? There is a lot of speculation but no firm numbers.

I prefer the clean and simple look of plain toe 1950 service boots (no box toe, dainite sole, 2030 last, 6 eyelets, natural sole edge) over the brogue cap-toes.

Tate+Yoko had one in black calf:

And then there was the brown version at Superdenim

I'll wait a month or two before ordering more Vibergs, but if there will be enough interest then, perhaps we could do also something like those two, but in either icy mocha cxl, some thick horse hide or shell cordovan (would prefer walnut, #8 or black scotch grain cordovan as I already ordered black cordovan 1940 service boots from manufactum.de).

Many here have already said it, but I also want to emphasize how very pleased I've been with the folks at Viberg. Just recently Morgan has been extremely helpful with the various questions I've had about MTO orders, stock models for European retailers, shell cordovan availability and what not.

edit: Thanks Find Finn! I have, and they sure are great.

These well used older 4horsemen's service boots look stunning:
