Is it really 20%? The boots they have in stock on their website arent $550
not yet. That already makes 3 of us who are interested so hopefully Fok will set something up soon.
Depends on the makeup I might be in as well.
Anything on the 2030 with Dainite or leather soles I am in for.
Please read above as I listed the makeup and provided a picture.
It looks like we have at least 4 people interested in this so hopefully we can move forward with this MTO.
2030 last, correct? you have it as 2130
Pretty sure that custom Service Boots are now going in the $800 range full price, so if you can really get them for $550 that's a very good deal...
Yes, sorry it was a typo. It should be 2030 last
I was quoted $700 like 60 days ago so unless prices have drastically changed I would think my guess it accurate, but I will wait to hear from Fok
When do you expect to hear back?
Fok = LA Guy, so when he makes his next post.....
I'll try to get this set up as soon as possible.
Right now, it seems like there is a lot of interest in a Iced Mocha service chromexel boot on the 2030 last with a natural midsole, brown (essentially tonal) stitching and a dainite outsole. Looks like the pair there has a black tongue (AFAIK, a CXL tongue is not technically feasible), we can do either 7 (standard) or 8 eyelets. I see no reason that this can't be done.
The other makeup that seems to have some traction is a distressed black leather service boot on a leather sole. I would need to ask Guy and Morgan if they'd be willing to do this commercially (since they only did that one boot as a showroom/tradeshow sample).
I hear some other requests out there as well (Chukka, in calfskin and in suede, an engineering boot, etc...), but there is not quite enough interest to move forward on those yet. Let's see if we can reach critical mass on those ones.
The terms would be 50% non-refundable deposit, and full payment within 30 days of the boots arrival at my place. After that, the customer would be considered MIA, and we'd sell the remaining boot to someone else. Does that seem reasonable to everyone? That way, people are held accountable, and we are not our of pocket, but you don't have to (unless you choose to) outlay the entire amount so far ahead of time. There would be free shipping in the CONUS, and a fixed cost of $30 shipping everywhere else in the world (essentially 1/2 of the cost. These boots are really substantial, in case some of you haven't experienced them in person yet.)
I like the idea of 8 eyelets, in fact 10 is ideal for the iced mocha chromexcel service boot (pic included Cordovan though). What do you guys think?Seriously would love to hear any impute.
Regardless, any final decision we make on the eyelets will not impact my positive outlook.
Do you have an example of the distressed black service boot? I am aware of the previous posts but they are not Viberg.
Terms of sale are fair.
i'm good with the make up except for the 2030 last. if it's anything sleeker than the 2005 i'm screwed.
'got wider feet & would definitely need a more generous front, ie, 2040/2045? [soft-toe] or 110 [re-inforced/celastic]
