The "official" boondockers should have an unstructured toe. There are a few versions of Viberg's boondocker over the years, which include several different lasts as well as different soles. The soles they have used are leather soles or a corded rubber sole. Some models out there appear to be boondockers at first glance but really aren't. The Viberg "official" boondockers have brown eyelets an four rows of stitching on the quarters to the vamp. People have different preferences on which they like the best. I just ordered the 2030 boondocker from Rivet & Hide since I prefer a leather sole. The original boondocker would have a corded rubber sole with a wider last though.

Very happy with the purchase..thinking these came available due to the long stripes on the right boot...doesn't bother me though and sale price was right

Rivet & Hide 2030 Boondocker from the weekend. I really like the leather soles, becoming more comfortable with each wear.

Those Rivet and Hide boondockers look great. Kinda hoping we can do a similar boot as a GMTO with a corded sole and maybe on the 110.

Are the R+H boondockers made with stitchdown construction?

haha yeah I was hoping someone would catch that. Working on my Mr. DV shot next.

I have yet to try anything on Dainite but I really do love the leather sole. I don't like the contrast of the dark dainite with the Boondocker. The best was the pair of someone here who had the light topy put on, blended in perfectly and would be the best of both worlds.

My pair from last April is, not sure about any new runs going forward.

@LA Guy I really screwed up not getting that Hopper Engineer boot. We need to re-run those or run the new Chelsea pattern
