Do you actually own a pair of Vibergs?
You're fucking with me, right?
Let's see: I've owned at least six pairs by now. But gave one MTO to my brother and kept the 3Sixteen Stealths for myself.
I also mocked up all the photos for the recent GTMO thread (for fun, because I can).
I was just curious; you seem like you hate the product.
Take a knee son; you've won at the Internet today.
No worries. No, I don't hate Viberg, not even close. I love them and think they are the best thing on the market, boot-wise. So it's frustration seeing a great product devolve here and there over the past year. Who wouldn't be mad about that? Call it hipster (I hate hipsters), but the glory days (MTO's and lower prices, to start with two examples) have passed.
But I still look forward to every new iteration they put out.
Man, you're all over the place.
I just received my reverse kudus on the 1035 last. I'm a brannock 11.5, maybe a hair bigger with a narrow foot and Guy recommended a 10.5 and my toe is further up by maybe an index fingers width and it feels right on. But the width is right on as well with only a little bit of side to side freedom and the balls of my feet and my outer bone below the pinky toe are right at the widest points of the boot. As you can see here, I'm no expert but I'm going to guess that the boot is a little long but it depends on the width too. I hope this helps some. Hopefully someone with more expertise can help you out.
So...at the risk of being a dumbass, where are you all finding boots? I'm looking for the boondocker on the 2030 last, which isn't on the website. I looked at all the stockists listed (thanks google translate) and found them at one store in the UK, but they only had size 11 (I need a 10).
Do you just stalk these same retailers and pounce on any pre-orders when they pop?
I'll go duck now while tomatoes get tossed at me.
Mr. Porter sold out of the 2030 boondockers.
Rivet and Hide still has them in size 10 but I would not pay $900 USD for them. Here's the link anyway.
Thanks metranger! Just to clarify since it might be confusing... the picture above is an 8.5 uk in the 2030 last, which really hurt the top of my foot. I'm thinking that the 160 last may be larger in that dimension so I'd probably be fine comfort-wise, but then it might be too long. I'm going to try to email somebody at viberg and see what they think...
Where on the top of your foot did it hurt? The 2030 last is the narrowest of Viberg lasts...I'm not familiar with the 160 last. But yes, Guy is super helpful and address your email to him personally. Guy told me that some lasts just aren't right for certain feet, depending on the length, width and instep. I hope that you find the perfect boot.Best of luck in your search.
Not sure if this has been posted...
A store in Toronto Lost & Found has a special makeup:
These look good. The 1035 seems a good compromise between the 2030 and the 2045 lasts. Surprised they call it an unstructured toe -- it looks partially structured to me, though hard to tell sometimes...
I guess they don't have a lot of big-footed customers. All these smaller shops never carry any sizes bigger than 11....
Also: these are fantastic:
