I would be on this in a second if the natty's didn't have a toe cap.
Would someone mind posting the full specs of the Natty CXLs?
I'd love to jump in on these as well.
3. The natural CXL boot
Model: Service boot
Leather: natural cxl
Leather (tongue): natural cxl
Eyelets: 7 antique brass
Comments: unstructured toe with a toe cap
So pretty much identical to the Mr. Porter makeup but with an unstructured toe.
As I mentioned over PMs, I would be in as well.
Count me in.
How is everyone feeling about the unstructured toe?
How it wears over time, etc....
It will collapse eventually with wear. Probably not very quickly (on the order of a few years of regular wear) if you store them with shoe trees. I personally like the aesthetic of the collapsed, unstructured toe though.
On my phone, can't see if there are any more spots available. If so, I'd be in.
I'm in as well!
Seem to wear these more than the others...
Fok, I believe we have more than seven! Can you check with Guy to see if it's doable? Thank you!
CXL Service Boots - nothing you guys haven't seen before, just with another month or so of wear.
is my post not there ?I made an account just to get in on this!
+1 - as per my PM to you I am in.
Thanks to someone else for posting the specifications. It appears to be identical to the Mr. Porter boot which I (unfortunately) returned due to needing a 1/2 size.
I do not want to rock the boat however, having worked in the shoe industry for more than 25 years, I am not thrilled with an unstructured toe i.e. no toe box used in construction. It makes sense for Moccasin construction which inherently, by nature, does not have a toe box, but not for a shoe like this. If someone wants a "softer" toe box that is a different story - this is quite different from no toe box at all. A softer material can be used which will give at least some stability to the toe area. I believe the Mr. Porters had a hard firm toe box. I wonder what percentage of Viberg's production uses toe boxes - I would venture to say the vast majority?
Regardless of the decision I am in either way. The Mr. Porter I received was a beautiful and nicely constructed pair of shoes for the genre it is in.
Sorry, I missed your post! You are now on the list!
