I haven't received mine either. Hopefully they ship it early this week so I can get them by Friday.
I haven't gotten mine yet either.
Recently got some cordovan service boots on the 2030 last and I'm experience some pressure/irritation near the joint in my big toe. I was wondering this is anything to worry about or if the boots will stretch with wear. I have been wearing them with medium thickness socks, may switch over to thin socks.
Is your toe hitting the front of the boot?
No, I still have some room in the front. It's just that one area in the right boot. After about an hour of wear it becomes a little annoying.
Could be the low profile of the 2030 at fault...?
I think I'm the only one who's reported getting one so far?
It looks mine will be delivered today, which is nice as they were shipped on Fri.
Someone from reddit posted some Brandy photos. They're rather dark: http://m.imgur.com/a/i2GXJ
Yeah it could be, I know others have talking about a "blister phase" due to the shallow toe box. But I am not sure how much give the cordovan has to yield a more comfortable fit. I am really praying that this pair works out though... Hopefully others with cordovan make ups can chime in.
The boots should fit comfortably out of the box and unfortunately, shell doesn't have much give. What sort of socks are you wearing with these boots?
I have been wearing some medium weight athletic socks. I may switch to some thinner running socks I have. Its unfortunate because its just that one spot that is bugging me.
if the owner of a size 10 is upset with this ugly color I will take them off your hands. Get at me.
It is a bit disspointing though, esp. if you've been in the Alden threads and seen how the lighter colors have darkened dramatically over the past few years. Looks like Viberg isn't immune to Horween's sourcing issues for unblemished shell, even when there are < 20 boots due to supply constraints.
I don't think you can tell much from that photo. I question the lighting - and so much depends on lighting with shell.
True, the poster admitted it was lighter than in the photo, but it was darker than expected (whatever that means).
I thought it was supposed to be virtually indistinguishable from Whiskey, but it appears I'm mistaken and it is a shade or two darker: http://www.styleforum.net/t/166919/shell-cordovan-color-comparisons#post_2974859
