Anyone know when the next sample sale is coming?
Nice, where did you pick up the clear heel guard?
thanks for the description of the ripple sole. I am interested in trying them out one day myself, have a great weekend
^^ Are those Oxfords on the 110 last? I really like the shape of them, better than some of the other Viberg oxfords... And the plain cap toe works great.
They actually aren't all that easy to come by. They are made by Guard Mfg. and I like to use the #6 heel guard. It comes in both black and clear and with adhesive or without (either way there are also recessed holes for small nails). You can't buy directly from Guard though, so I got them online from BestStoreGlobal.
Thanks, you as well!
Yes, they are on the 110...my favorite last! I love the shape of the 110 on both oxfords and boots. If something comes out on the 110, it's really hard for me to resist.
Just spoke to the fella's at Brooklyn Clothing Co.
They just added three new boots on their site, and have four more exclusive boots they will be receiving in the upcoming months, as long with Olive restock.
Gonna start saving now!
^ Any news of a restock on their black calf boots??
I'm considering the brown CXL from Brooklyn Clothing Company but I can't make a final decision. I'm a 10D on the Brannock but with a high instep. I've got an Alden boot on the Barrie last in 9.5E that I'm considering selling due to it being a little wide in the heel for me. There's plenty of room lengthwise, and it's slightly tight across the vamp. I'm probably a 9.5 in the 2030 last. Would it be silly to try the 9? The instep is my main concern.
Yes, it would be silly. The 2030 is a pancaked toe box so if you size down with wide feet or a high instep you will feel the crunch. I've made this mistake myself...
I totally agree. I'm a solid 9.5 in all Viberg lasts, but the 2030 really makes me contemplate a 10. The length is fine, but the compressed toe box and pointed toe are not the most comfortable for me and I could probably stand to go up a half size in that last.
Thanks for the feedback, gents. I'll hold off.
The problem is that they don't carry half sizes for some reason.
They don't accept returns either.
Their product descriptions are completely wrong too. Take the brown CXL boot for example. Commando heel and leather sole, when it is clearly all dainite. Brogue toe cap when it is clearly a plain toe cap. A few of the other listings have similar mistakes as well.
