Those pictures are of different widths though...Not sure you can tell 110 is the widest.

Yes, it kind of looks it though. I also just spoke to Morgan at Viberg on my special order - it seems that the 110 is the fullest/widest in the toe box.

Thanks a lot Finn! Do you or anyone know which last this one is:
    http://www.manufactum.de/viberg-shell-cordovan-boot-p1457173/

I guess it is the 1940 service boot shape.
I tried this one in the shop and it fit perfectly in 8.5, but the price of 800€ was too much..

looking for something similar in calfskin or suede.

Thanks for all the replies, fantastic thread and really exciting to follow..!

fantastic boot, iotan! Thanks for your reply. exactly what I´m looking for as well! Is it this one?:
    http://www.manufactum.de/viberg-shell-cordovan-boot-p1457173/ ???

My feet are not that wide, so I guess the 110 last would fit me well.
I´m a 8.5 in all my Red Wing and 8.5 in my Wolverine Boots and 9.0 in Yuketen Maine Guide and Country Chukka, 8.5 in the Yuketen Country Ranger.
When I tried the cordovan service boot at our local store here in munich, it fit me well in 8.5 (not sure which last it is)
    http://www.manufactum.de/viberg-shell-cordovan-boot-p1457173/

Does that mean, that 8.5 should be good for all other models too?

    Thanks a lot!
    Z

Viberg hooked me a s well with this sale, looking forward to what´s coming up next week, although with the time difference to europe I will probably miss the start again..

hey there. the last used on this particular boot is (should be) the 2030 last!

not to a 100%...if you can fit the 2030 last in a 8.5, then you could size down a half size in the other lasts, such as 160, 2040 and 310, since the toebox of these lasts is pretty roomy imo!
i´ve owned the collab boot 4HorsemenxViberg 1940 service boot (2030 last) in UK8.5 and couldn´t really enjoy wearing them since the toebox was just too narrow/flat for my feet! sold them after only a few days/weeks of wear...
the IHxViberg collab boot (160 last) and the 1950 service boot (310 last) i own are a both UK9 and the fit on those is pretty much perfect, so imo one should go true to size or even 0.5 up when chosing the 2030 last (well that´s at least what i´m going to do when ordering a boot in that last the next time!)...so UK9 or even UK9.5 for me when going with the 2030 last!

Thanks, Finn I really appreciate it!
    Just two more questions:
    - the shell cordovan service boot is the only viberg boot I tried so far. The leather was very soft and the shoe very comfortable. Do I have to expect the "normal" cowhide boots to be very stiff and hard to break in? My RW Beckmans almost killed me...
    - is the viberg sizing here (in the sample sale) uk sizing? That would mean my US 8.5 is a UK 7.5?

    PhiPsi32,

I think you have a few different custom Vibergs on order, is that right? If so, I would love to know what makeups you went with

Wish I did, but no. I will be correcting that in a few weeks. If all goes according to plan, I'll get fitted for the Viberg lasts and order a couple of pairs. For me, sizing is always tricky. I don't feel comfortable ordering footwear if I haven't tried on something in the same last.

Be aware that B. Nelson cannot replicate the double row of stitching that Viberg does. I found this out after the fact when they came back with the new stitching done more or less over the top of the decorative 2nd row. See below. You can even see where the original row of stitching was much closer to the edge.

Totally ruined the look of my boots in my opinion. I haven't worn them since getting them back from B. Nelson.

Also, if you ship them in a box you want back, like the original box from the manufacturer, be sure to specify that on your order. My box was tossed and they were returned in USPS packaging that is useless for storing the boots.

Send them to Viberg for a resole and be willing to wait longer to get it done right.

    B. Nelson will not do a better job than sending your boots directly back to the factory(Viberg/Whites/Alden). I had a pair of Alden Indys that I took to B. Nelson in the city. Ended up costing like $145 I think and it looked awful.
