There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Woah, i'm excited to get mine from BCC if that's the true colour.
I personally like that they have the gun metal eyelets also.

I received these from BCC and after getting the left boot out of the box and on I was super pleased. I went home, took out the other to compare how they looked with the different laces and then was obviously less pleased as the right boot is such a different color, more dull purple than navy. I wrote to BCC this AM and will call to follow up. I assume they will make it right..so far they were great to deal with.
So close to my first pair yet so far.. Thankfully I have the natty cxl boot coming in the GMTO, I have a strong sense there won't be a similar QC issue.

This leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Those shoes are clearly two different colors. Either no one bothered to look at the boots, or they looked and thought, "eh, maybe they won't complain." Neither scenario is acceptable in my opinion at this or any price point, but especially at this price point.

It's weird, the navy one looks correct, but the other one almost looks like Alden's #8. I've seen Viberg's #8 and it's typically much redder/lighter, but Alden's #8 shell get refinished to a deep burgundy/eggplant, and that's what the off boot looks like in the pic above. Doesn't look navy hardly at all.

I'm with you. Maybe he got a floor model? One boot that was out on display? Hopefully BCC makes good.

This is insane, really. First we had some stitching issues here and there. Then came the uneven eyelets on the derbys, now two boots of a pair don't even match colorwise. WTF is going on with Viberg this past year??

Increased demand/production without increased production capacity, presumably.

Love the derby's. I prefer it in the service boot though.

Nothing too insane about it. Retailer is working to resolve. Handmade boots will always have an issue here or there, whether Alden, Viberg or White's.

This is mostly how I feel about it..and thankful indeed that this equates to a major first world problem hassle..

This is totally backwards. The value of handmade goods is in their attention to detail and craftsmanship. We don't pay more for a handmade product because it's *inferior* to a machine-made equivalent. We pay more because someone is holding the item at every step of the construction and personally asserting its made to certain standards.

Sure certain idiosyncrasies may pop up here and there, but something as obvious and easy to catch as this discoloration is just blatantly unacceptable. Clearly either no one looked closely at this pair with anything resembling a critical eye, or they were greedy enough to let them pass through anyways.

There are a lot of benefits to hand-craftsmanship, but consistency in production isn't one of them. Real talk, sorry.
