My guess is 12-15 pairs and owner chooses size like the last round. Given that these are being purchased prior to build there is no reason for them to allocate specific sizes. I really hope so at least...considering I can count at least 5 people in size 8 mulling this over...
I was under the impression that Viberg lasts all Cordovan boots prior to pre orders. Thats why they have an allocation of sizes.
Cordovan has a history of being severely damaged while lasting.
I have nothing to base this on, its just my observation.

4 months? How often did you wear it? It should be more durable than the typical leather sole.

No, those Christy soles definitely wear fast.  I had a similar sole on a pair of Caterpiller boots years ago, and the heel wore out almost right away it seemed.  They are comfortable though...

Wear them almost everyday. And they're really too stiff to be comfortable for me. I personally can't wait to replace them. No wonder there made a moreflex variety...

Holy crap those boots are amazing, considering selling some stuff and jumping in on my first Viberg purchase. I would love a light colored shell boot.

If your a size 8D...hold on to your stuff. You don't need these Vibergs.

lol

I am actually not sure what size I would be but I think I should figure it out on my own instead of asking, I fear the advice I get might lead me off of your size...

If the suggestion is Barrie sizing on the 2030 (is it on the 2030?) then I should be a 7.5D

haha tifosi convincing everyone they are not a size 8. These are not the boots you are looking for.

But in all seriousness most people do go barrie sizing. I am one of the odd ones that goes full size down on the 2030 even with wide feet

I was discussing this a couple of days ago it seems to be an even split with barrie vs full size down. I am definitely out of this round. I have enough cordovan for a little while I think. The no.8 service boot is what I will wait for although leffot sells out in under 5 minutes. :(

Interesting, I have wide feet too. I was going to go with Barrie sizing, but now I'm not so sure. I'm an 8.5D, alden size 8. What's your Barrie/trubalance relative to your 2030 size?

The only Barries that I have are a 10.5D, and they feel a bit big on me, so I'm sizing down to a 10 on the 2030 last.

I'm 8.5c on a Brannock, 8c on LWB but that's with dress socks - w/ normal socks on a barrie boot an 8d seems to work better. I just picked up some 7.5 cxl browns, should be arriving Thurs, will report back.

Do you find the 7 to be snug on the 2030? Do you wear thick socks?

It was a tad snug (nothing uncomfortable) the first couple weeks but since that point have been very very comfortable. They are ice mocha cxl. I wear medium and light weight smartwool socks with them.
