Y'all don't understand stonks and to the moon or whatever. Ask for $1710 back. Haggle with poor Thomas.
Counter offer, original $150 and a video of Brett Yelling at Glenn for his QC process and Glenn yelling back that Brett is a disappointment and has ruined the only good thing Glenn has created, as evident by his sneakers and hikers.

Glenn should be yelling at his dad for the hiker. Edwin and Bill Danner traded boot patterns in the early 70s and that’s how Viberg ended up with their hiker pattern. No idea what Danner got in return, probably some logger boot or something.

And does Brett freak out like Christian Bale on the set of Terminator Genesis or more like David O Russell on the set of I Heart Huckabees?

So between the orange binding ivywood and this run, they are totally fucking up like every 10th special makeup with the kind of run-wide error that makes you really questions what kind of QC they have for a small production/boutique shoe maker. And that’s not even considering the various stockist runs that have been goofed, with the wrong leather, inaccurate specs, etc. Honestly just a real head scratcher. They make so few units that you would think some kind of manager could give every single pair a quick glance.

Literally just hire one person to oversee QA. How hard is that?

I think more likely is they catch those kind of errors but send them out anyway. Offering free/easy returns but making the customer do their own QC is modern e commerce 101. The Warby Parker and Bonobos of the world will happily and conveniently replace any issues, but it’s up to you to do it. No doubt at least some of those pairs with the wretched brogue holes went to customers who won’t notice or won’t care.

Yeah 100%. Even if 50% get returned they’re making good money.
