Am I wrong or these seems to be narrower then the usual 2040 last which is EE width? Stated as an "narrower E width" by DR

interesting, these are on a slimmer E width for 2040 (which is usually EE). Its like ordering the 2030 in D width.

visually they do look trimmer than 2040 usually does

I think there's only one width for 2040. Where does it say narrower?

I thought 2040 was always single E width
The 2040 is a single E width Munson style last. The Munson last was developed for military use by analyzing x-rays of the human foot and adopting a more anatomically shaped toe box. From above the Munson last appears flatter on the medial side of the foot and rounder on the lateral. Our 2040 has a low heel and narrow waist with a slight bump in the toe. The 2040 is a great option for those who appreciate the fit of the 2030, but prefer a more traditional boot shape.

You'd have been racing me through checkout had there been a 6.5.

This small-foot discrimination needs to be addressed, investigations started, as cases grow into the... the... ahem... tens.

Same goes for size 13 too !!

I guess i am mistaken I always thought the 2040 was EE. its weird because visually it does look a little trimmer through the forefot than other 2040 boots on DR's website
