(New Bourbon shell Service boots) look at that color matching ?
Something about that Bourbon shade is just impossible for Viberg. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pair that was very seamless - most have at least 1 or 2 panels that are off (usually darker than the others) and a few that are really bad. Will that ever fade right?

Different shoe and different company but I have a pair of Bourbon shell Higgins MIlls that looked exactly like that and now pretty much look uniform in color. When I first got them I was a little surprised by the color variance but now that its gone its what I miss the most. I totally get the f"or 1300 bucks you should get what you pay for" but it makes the boot unique to you and I actually like the added character

I honestly thought I would sell a couple of my old shell bergs to raise some funds and buy another pair down the line, but with the direction this is headed I think I'm better off holding on to the old ones... The heel counter is whatever to me, that shell will fade, but the binding will always look awful.
