So, next round we will do a Derby on the 2030 or 2040 last, and a service boot, with the last depending on the leather. Let's get some ideas rolling.

Unable to stand the tension over figuring out how to wrangle guys for the 10 eyelet #8 boot, I broke down this morning and kopped the 7 eyelet Service boot. #imweak

That said, I can't wait for the delivery truck to arrive.

Derby on 2030 in natural CXL or the Guidi brown leather shown at the recent show?

I'd be up for this! If it has to be a service boot rather than the Boondocker, I still say smoke Kudu with gunmetal eyelets.

Id be in for the Guidi Horsehide similar to what is shown in tumblr

*edit perhaps redundant if those English Cordovan boots make their way into the mkt

I would be interested in it as well.

Just to clarify about the boondocker vs service boot. Guy explained to me that the boondocker is a particular make of the service boot. The boondocker uses specific leather, eyelets, thread, last, sole, stitching pattern, etc based on the specs of the original WW2 boondockers.

Good to know, thanks, man. I appreciate that.

I'll cross my fingers for that Smoke Kudu Service Boot, then!

Anyone know if the french calf coming out is a captoe or plain toe? If it's plain toe would be interested in a French calf captoe service boot

For US folks who have bought directly from the Viberg site: how long does it take to get a shipping confirmation? I purchased my boots this morning and have yet to get a ship notice.

I ordered at noon (their time), and I received a shipping notification about three and a half hours later.

Definitely interested in the proposed guidi make-up for the oxfords. What kind of price difference would we see vs. cxl or more "standard" leathers? Cordovan money? Yikes I hope not.

The painted horsehide boots were only $800. Guidi calf is probably a bit more than plain horsehide, but I'd imagine the painted horsehide is a bit more, and then Viberg had the labor of distressing it.

That Guidi HHS boot on Tumbler, minus pinking, would be a killer boot.

    wtf...

Ordered this morning, been a few hours, no shipping confirmation, ensue panic. Think they scammed you bro. Better file the charge back now.
