Here’s my pair of Brown Waxed Flesh with 15 months of wear. The first six months saw a lot of use, nearly every other day as I rotated between these and a pair of color 8 CXLs, both from Brooklyn Clothing.

First wear of my mocha shell cordovan service boots.

These are definitely unstructured. They feel more wobbly than most of my other Viberg shoes. Once I got the right tightness on the laces they felt fine.

If the Waxed Flesh models on the .com came stock with commando soles, I would’ve snagged a pair a long time ago.

Those look great!

These are mine from a SF GMTO in 2016. These do have commando soles. Of 9 they are the most comfortable pair of Viberg's I own. And the only commando soles. Vibrams and Cat's Paws aren't bad but commando is the best...I've walked around morning to night in them with no soreness etc..

Viberg derby v, White’s Otto Derby

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on these shoes. I need a new pair was interested in the Whites given the price point - they are $200 less than the Vibergs and look well made. If I did go with the whites and wear a size 10 in 2030, would I go up .5 on a Barrie last in a D width? Most of my AEs in the 511 last are 10.5D and I believe this last is very close to a Barrie.

I would give White’s a call. In my experience their customer service has been great.

I’m a 11.5 in the 2030 for sure - perfect fit. An 11.5D in a Whites MP/Mod Barrie last is a snug but good fit. A 12D is a bit more relaxed. The sizing is very close but if your snug in your fav. 2030 size I’d go up a half. The 2030 is very much a Whites D width though.
