1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

None of mine have done so. For me, the difference in toe box makes or breaks whether I will buy the derby. Larger toe box = pass, slimmer toe box = buy.

'Preciate the link rex. Yeah, I saw the icy scouts on their site earlier this week but I've got my heart set on something a little more minimal and sporting. Don't get me wrong the scout is a quality design but it's a logger at heart and I'm not looking for a tank. What I am after is a hunting boot. Military boots have this heritage, which is why I'm looking to enlist the service boot and put it to f*ckin' work. Wrench on your bike, blast dove over the sunflower field... doesn't matter, job's gonna git done.

Access to Viberg's production has grown in exclusivity, rightly so, but it's made looking for something that meets these standards lame. I've got a lot love for the Red Wing. Along those lines these natural cxl, plain toes could be a workhorse for years to come.

Anyone out there in need of the same? How 'bout a group buy.

I've never owned a pair of natural cxl but have handled some cxl engineers made by MOTOR JP that (from what I could tell) were holding their own. The patina that had developed was something of envy.

I'm not particularly set on a leather as compared to the design of the boot.

I don't know much about Guidi leather but based on this picture...could make
a cool makeup for the oxford. Reminds me of the chromepak stuff used
    for the 3sixteen collaboration.

I don't get the point of Guidi leather. It just looks distressed, right? It's a tannery in Italy but it's still calf skin.

These are both the new Derby, but they are on different lasts. The one at the show is on the 2045 last which is a wider, Munson style last with a bump in the toe, while the derby being worn is on the 2030.

That's actually Reverse Natural CXL. We made that boot with the exact same specs as the Boondocker, so white thread, brown eyelets, leather sole, etc.

Hey Guy, I'm wondering how far will the 2045 last go down in size. My SO is a 3.5 in the 9220, and she'd love to buy another pair of your boots. Is it possible to get a boot in 2045 that would fit her?

I'd like to know what's special about Guidi leather as well. I've liked the looks of the Guidi leather on the boots/shoes I've seen, if not the style on all of them. The prices on them is insane! Is it just a cult thing or is there something very special about the quality, tanning process, etc.?
