That's bad... Unlucky :(. Otherwise they are such beautiful boots. Hope the return goes smooth.

I bet if you just wore them over time the color would all blend together over time.

I guess it's just a matter of being "ok" with it until that happens.

Yeah, I dig the mismatched panels, my derby boot has lighter and darker shades of cognac on each side and I think the contrast looks cool.

And seconded I think it would even our over time. Part of the appeal to me

Meh, the leather is so thin, i thought this leather was thicker, similar to crust horsehide, how disappointing....

Well usually if it's lined, the leather isn't going to be that thick. Just something to think about for future purchases.

Edit: I'll correct myself here. I do have reverse mushroom chamois chelseas and those are lined but the leather is still thick. I think regarding service boots though - if it needs to be lined it's probably thin.

I thought my tumbled horsehide was thin, but this one looks thinner.

What is the break-in like on the dainite sole? This thread/forum has caused me to consider a pair of Service Boots as my next pair of [totally unnecessary] shoes/boots, however while trying on a pair and comparing it to my Shell Indy's the dainite was sooo stiff and seemed to lack any cushioning. Is it a break-in thing or if I normally don't enjoy dainite soles I should stay away until I find a different make-up? (which from my perusing seems to be very rare nowadays!)
